By registering for Plandampf events organised by the Revierdampf Team (the organisers), you will agree to accept the following conditions in full.

1.
Plandampf is defined as the operation of normal scheduled trains with the use of special traction. The actual operation of the trains is not organised by the Revierdampf Team itself but, rather, by the local departments of Deutsche Bahn AG and/or other railway companies and undertakings. The historical locomotives are unique, and therefore if any of them cannot be used shortly before or during an event, the organisers will attempt to find adequate substitutes. Failing that, a regular locomotive will be used to ensure the normal running of trains. On this basis the organisers do not and will not accept any responsibility whatsoever for the running of the historical locomotives at the said time and place.

2.
You should regard yourself as a guest of the local railway companies during the whole event. They may stop the event while it is taking place at any time, if one or more participants behave in a way that disturbs or endangers themselves and/or others, or causes the normal functioning of the railway to be disrupted. (e.g. especially by entering restricted areas, obscuring or climbing on signals, trespassing on track etc.).

3.
Responsibilities of the organisers: The Revierdampf Team initially suggests an order of Plandampf events and puts forward such proposals to various potential participants for comment. It then passes on a final plan to the local railway department and/or other institutions that have a role in organising an event. The organisers then collect the individual participation fees necessary to cover the costs of the event, which have been calculated with the best care and intention, and in turn pay these to the institutions that provide the special traction train services. Furthermore, the team informs, to the best of its ability, all paying participants and others with a legitimate interest, about the status of the event. It compiles all the information released by the various railway institutions into a document or information-pack and provides a copy to each paying participant. Apart from this, the organisers have no other duties or responsibilities whatsoever. The work of the organisers is voluntary. Any money left over after covering the expenses of an event will be donated for the restoration and upkeep of participating historical locomotives.

4.
A participant's contribution fee is given voluntarily. Only if enough contributions are made to meet the budgeted overall costs, will an event be possible. Those who do not contribute or do pay with delay do take the risk for themselves and others that some services or even the whole event is cancelled due to insufficient money being raised.

5.
The late or delayed provision of the contribution fee by the participants may force the organisers to postpone the booking of locomotives and/or coaches as the necessary funds are not secured in time. This may cause the owners of locomotives and/or coaches to rent their stock elsewhere. Furthermore the locomotives and/or coaches announced in the early advertisements might suffer a damage that cannot be repaired in time for the event. For these reasons no information provided by the organisers on locomotives and coaches shall contain any guarantee.

6.
By paying fees, participants provide the railways with the possibility of changing regular locomotives for special ones (and on occasion, photo- or other special trains may be added). As explained under points 1, 2, 5 and 11 there is no guarantee that the event or parts of it will actually happen - the programme information-pack only gives details of the proposed special traction with no guarantee. The distribution of the information-pack in itself does not necessarily mean that the event or all parts of it will take place as stated therein.

7.
With the invitation to contribute and participate in a Plandampf event, the potential contributor will be given a cut-off date by which fees must be paid. This date is usually set four weeks before the event, which makes it possible to cover the costs of certain preparations (such as organising light engine movements to bring locomotives to the event, buying coal etc.).

8.
Your binding registration has to be sent to the organisers in writing by the cut-off date mentioned under item 7, stating those days on which you wish to participate. As Plandampf events have certain costs built into their lead-up time, fees should be paid in full when registering.

9.
If contributors, having paid, find that they cannot subsequently participate for good reason (e.g. due to illness, or an employer postponing holidays etc.), they will be refunded in full, provided that they have informed the organisers in writing before the event actually starts. After the distribution of the information-pack a refund of the participation fee is not possible, except the participant returns the information-pack untouched in the sealed original envelope.

10.
Fees should normally be paid by cheque or by bank transfer to the organisers' stated address. Cheques will only be banked immediately before the distribution of the event's information-packs, and only then if sufficient money has been raised in time to cover the event's costs.

11.
If the costs are not covered beforehand to run the event in its substantial parts, or should any of the participating institutions or railway departments prohibit or cancel the event at short notice for any reason whatsoever, or if there are other reasons that prevent the event from taking place, then all fees will be fully refunded and the participants will be informed. If any part of an event cannot take place at short notice for any reason whatsoever, the organisers will try to substitute it. They will not, however, be held responsible should this not prove possible. In such a case no refunds can be paid, as by this time many things will have already been done and paid for. However, should, as a consequence, the overall costs of the event be reduced by parts of it not happening, then contributors will receive a proportional refund. The organisers will accept absolutely no responsibility whatsoever for any inconveniences, disappointments, costs of travel or accommodation or other financial problems etc. howsoever caused, provided that the team has not violated condition No. 3.

12.
For the reasons stated in items 1, 2, 5 and 11, no information provided by the organisers, i.e. by mail, telephone, advertisement, in the media, brochures, leaflets, information-packs and pamphlets etc. shall contain any guarantee. Newly acquired or revised information will automatically replace and change previous information and will make the latter invalid.

13.
Brochures and any other written or graphic information given to participants is protected by copyright. Mechanical or electrical copying and distribution to other parties is illegal and can be prosecuted.

14.
Your journey to, and all your activities at the location of the event are undertaken entirely at your own risk and responsibility.

15.
In cases of dispute, German law will apply.
