Advance subscriptions to the Plandampf and/or advance orders for the brochure on the general event (Profi-Programmheft) are no longer possible. You can acquire the info packs during the event at the Gerolstein loco shed. The loco shed is open every day during the Dampfspektakel from 9h00 to 18h00, and at some evenings for special events.

175 years of Railways in Germany and
20 years of Plandampf in Germany

Locos:
38 3199 has to be replaced by 2455 Posen which is member of the same class Prussian P8.

Brohltalbahn:
The updated schedules are available for download at www.vulkan-express.de or www.brohltalbahn.de The new version includes the trains on Friday and Saturday, and the bus shuttle Kaisersesch - Engeln on April 4 and 5. No buses will operate April 2 and 3.

Specials with V200:
The specials with V200 from Dortmund to Gerolstein operate Friday and Saturday only. The specials on Sunday and Monday are cancelled due to insufficient bookings.

Mailing of the Plandampf info pack:
All info packs were put into the paper mail on March 22 or 23.

Meeting place for late subscribers:
Plandampf info packs and Programmhefte can be obtained at Gerolstein shed on Thursday April 1, 18h00 to 20h00, for cash.

Error in the Plandampf info pack:
Some of the printed Plandampf pages have been distributed at on outdated version. Times are not affected. Please note that the first passenger train will be worked by a class 41, while the loco initially booked for that train then hauls the return train.
All info packs sent by E-mail are up to date.

Tickets:
at the back of the tickets issued online by TicketRegional you find a remark: 'Fotos, Film-, Video- oder Tonaufnahmen waehrend der Veranstaltung sind untersagt!' ('You are not allowed to take photos, videos or tape recordings during the event'). Please disregard that advice, we are not back to GDR laws yet but the core business of TicketsRegional is music concerts.

Ferry moves, status March 28 16h00

01 509 und 50 3610 on Tuesday March 30 Leipzig-Plagwitz dep. 7:08 via Zeitz - Gera - Saalfeld (water 10h00 to 11h30) - Schweinfurt - Rottendorf - Wuerzburg to Zell, arrival approx. 18h00.
Continues Wednesday March 31 Zell dep 8h54 via Gemuenden and Aschaffenburg (approx 11h00) to Hanau, for water. Then continues with diesel pilot class 218, route and times not fixed.

41 018 leaves Augsburg Tuesday March 30 7:46 via Treuchtlingen and Crailshein (approx 10h45) to Heilbronn, arrival approx 14h00.
Wednesday March 31 Lokzug with 01 1066 and 41 018 Heilbronn dep 7h04 via Eberbach to Neustadt/Weinstrasse, where 58, 50 and 78 join. Continues via Kaiserslautern (Water stop).
The historic coaches will be moved in a separate train with electric class 139, Heilbronn dep 8h00 same route to Trier.

01 118 and 23 042 may not arrive at Trier before Thursday at approx. 12h00. Route and Times not fixed yet.

The 52 from Siegen travels via Hagen-Eckesey to Euskirchen where My 1138 and P8 may join. Times not fixed yet.

Times for all ferry moves after the event are not fixed yet.

The Revierdampf-Team will be offline from Wednesday March 31. We will try to communicate modifications to the Plandampf schedule to all the people we meet e.g. in the RE trains.

Looking back, most of the participants are happy. The Plandampf concept with authentic rolling stock from the 70s on lines with old infrastructure, combined with marketing for the local train operator, was successful and will be continued
