Subscription to the Plandampf and the information brochure
The procedure for subscription to the Plandampf is detailed in the form that can be downloaded here.
The brochure (“Programmheft”) for the general event with the detailed diagrams for all locos at the dampfspektakel can be ordered from us independent from your participation at the Plandampf. For the brochure, please forward 15 Euros to the Plandampf bank account at the Kreissparkasse Recklinghausen (see Plandampf form) und tell us by separate E-mail to info@revierdampf.de if you want to receive the brochure by E-mail in pdf-format or by paper mail. For the latter option please inform us on your postal address.

175 years of Railways in Germany and
20 years of Plandampf in Germany
by deadline for subscriptions to the Plandampf we have almost reached the level of cost recovery. Therefore, we have decided to proceed with the event. Late comers are requested to subscribe as soon as possible.
The narrow gauge Brohltalbahn has confirmed operation of visiting steam locos 99 7203 from Amstetten and ‚Franzburg' from Bruchhausen-Vilsen during the event. The train schedules will be published soon at www.dampfspektakel.info and will be included to our information brochure for the general event (Programmheft). Further to the passenger specials the Brohltalbahn will offer an interesting programme on their dual gauge section in Brohl harbour.
The DB Museum works special passenger trains between Koblenz (museum) and Brohl from April 2 to 5 with connection to the narrow gauge specials. This will enable visitors to do round trips Trier – Koblenz – Brohl – Engeln – bus transfer – Kaisersesch – Gerolstein – Trier.
On April 6 the Dampfspektakel will finish with a loco parade at Gerolstein roundhouse during daylight hours. At the evening before a night foto session is planned on April 5 at the same location.
Due to lack of interest in the 'PremiumSteam' this offer (reservation of window seat in first coach behind steam loco) will be dropped.

From the 18th to the 22nd February 2008 the 52 8154 – a 2-10-0 based in Leipzig – hauled scheduled freight trains of the Neusser Eisenbahn (NE) which is a subsidiary of the Neuss-Duesseldorfer Haefen GmbH & Co.KG.

Looking back, most of the participants are happy. The Plandampf concept with authentic rolling stock from the 70s on lines with old infrastructure, combined with marketing for the local train operator, was successful and will be continued
Authentic steam locomotives worked over scenic lines with matching coaches in perfect weather.
